Edward T. Crosby Civil War diaries, 1861-1863.

Two diaries, holograph, dated 1861 Sep 10-1862 Apr 9, signed; and 1862 Nov 19-1863 Feb 20. In the first diary, Crosby describes joining the 19th Regiment, Massachusetts Volunteers, in Boston, and his experiences with the Regiment in Camp Benton in Poolesville, Maryland, and in Virginia. In the second diary, he describes his experiences in the 50th Regiment.

Edward T. Crosby was an officer's servant in the 19th Regiment, Massachusetts Volunteers, 1861-1862, and served as a soldier in the 50th Regiment, Massachusetts Volunteers, 1862-1863.
